Internet Explorer in Windows 7 is built-in to the Operating System. You won’t find the uninstall option under the “Installed Updates” screen in the Programs and Features section. If you’re looking to re-install Internet Explorer 8, first go to the Control Panel, Click Programs and Features, and then on the left navigation pane, click “Turn Windows Features On Or Off”. In the selection list you’ll see Internet Explorer 8.
Un-Check Internet Explorer 8 and click OK. Windows will make the following changes and prompt you to restart your computer. After the restart, go back in to the same Windows Features screen, and check “Internet Explorer 8″ to re-install it.
